Casual wear here is defined as clothing that you can wear in public without being anything formal. Thus, there are at least three types of casual wear. The first is athletic wear, like NFL jerseys. These are clothing that is worn when some physical activity is expected where high durability against dirt and damage is required. The second type is the bit more expensive leisure wear, like Lacoste polo shirts. These are worn when a bit more refinement is required, like when visiting family and friends. These are the “good shirts”, presentable and yet comfortable. The third is fashion wear, like Ed Hardy apparel. This third one is used when some attention grabbing is desired, or some form of statement needs to be made. This can be expensive but then fashion often is.

Note that these definitions are not strict rules. They are more like guides in choosing appropriate clothing for the occassion. The price range is so varied for the all three types that cost should not be a factor in purchasing them. Comfort and personal preference should be the overriding rules to follow.
